Frances (Capps) Jonasson
1941-2015

Frances Jonasson, 73 and a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Saturday, June 20, 2015. She was born in Aberdeen, October 4, 1941, the daughter of Clyde and Josephine (Kroll) Capps. She was a graduate of Weatherwax High School in 1960 and was married to Chester Jonason in Aberdeen November 19, 1961. He died in Cosmopolis, March 11, 2013. Frances had worked in the kitchen at Grays Harbor Community Hospital and had also been an Avon representative for awhile. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Hoquiam, Fern Rebekah Lodge #26 in Montesano, and the Birthday Club. She enjoyed picking blackberries and making jelly; was also a Mariner and Seahawks fan and loved her cat, Sasha. Frances is survived by a daughter and husband, Elaine and Kyle Imler of Hoquiam; a stepdaugher Judy Barzak in California; and two grandchildren. A stepdaughter, Ilene Thomas, died before her. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1st, at Immanuel Baptist Chruch, 1200 Soule Street in Hoquiam.
